Cynthia Okereke, a Nollywood actress, and Clemson Cornel were tragically abducted a few days ago on their way home from a filming location in Ozalla, Enugu state. The kidnappers have reportedly contacted both families and are seeking a $100,000 ransom before releasing the hostages, according to Mr. Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. He asserts that he and the police are making every effort to return the actors to their families in a safe manner.
Numerous Nollywood celebrities have responded to the unannounced kidnapping, but Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold claims that the kidnappers believe the celebrities are wealthy because of their phony online biographies. Lizzy posted a screenshot of her bogus online biography, which states that she is valued at between $400,000 and $600,000, to her Instagram profile. The actress claims in her caption that the post is false and that she isn’t worth that much, but she still makes ends meet and does so by God’s grace.
In her caption, she wrote: This is one of the reasons actors are been kidnapped ..they think we are so rich …I need to arrest the person behind this lies… I am working hard to be wealthy but am currently not close to any of that amount mentioned there… I nor get money ooo I be hustler ooo …I Dey even find who go dash me money …pls do not believe anything you read on the internet
